Right now I'm leaning towards Norton, because Bitdefender looks like a slightly smaller company and an amateurish choice (I don't know any large company that uses Bitdefender for its protection). Bitdefender appears to have a slightly better standing in online communities, while Norton has a brand name I can trust (Symantec software is installed on my work laptop and my company takes cyber security very seriously). I am really struggling to choose between the two. I need protection for a gaming PC(antivirus should have a good performance rating) and a phone with a lot of personal data (antivirus should include tools for personal data protection).īitdefender and Norton seem like the best options that trail right behind Kaspersky in all reviews. I'm a lifetime user of Kaspersky Internet Security, but in the light of recent revelations of its ties to the Russian government ( yes, it's a deal breaker for me), I'm looking for a new security suite in $40-50 price range for multiple devices (1 PC + 1 Android at a minimum).
